Since 2017, Eleonora Fisco has been leading creative writing and spoken poetry workshops for both adults and young people at cultural institutions, universities, and high schools. She also served as a coordinator for the Italian Poetry Slam League U20 championship.

From an early age, Eleonora Fisco immersed herself in writing and theater workshops, drawn to creative environments that champion freedom of exploration—a vital endeavor amid today’s performance-driven culture where utility often trumps curiosity. In 2017, she began leading her own poetic creative writing workshops, partnering with cultural institutions across Italy. After earning her Italian Studies degree from the University of Pisa in 2020, she spent two years teaching middle school in the Pisa and Rome areas, an experience that profoundly shaped her teaching approach. Instead of disengagement, she was met with passionate participation—students aged 11 to 14 engaged in lively literary discussions and responded enthusiastically to her classes.

Between 2021 and 2022, Eleonora held poetry workshops in multiple high schools, including sessions for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and learning disabilities, offering them new avenues for expression and personal growth. Her workshops use a maieutic method that encourages collective reflection and dispels the myth that poetry is limited to what’s found in textbooks. Participants are consistently energized, working through inspiration, self-expression in public spaces, creative estrangement, and the art of poetic performance. Since a few years he has offered a lecture-show entitled “Poetry: What’s the point?” which combines an interactive didactic component with performances of some of his poems.
