Eleonora Fisco (b. 1997) is a Sicilian poet, performer, and researcher specializing in spoken word poetry and contemporary performance arts. She graduated in Italian Studies from the University of Pisa and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of L’Aquila and the University of Lausanne, focusing on spoken word poetry.

Eleonora has been three times a national finalist at the Italian LIPS Poetry Slam Championship (2019, 2022 and 2024) and has performed at renowned venues such as RomaEuropa Festival, Brown University (USA), Salone del libro, Teatro Stabile del Veneto, Festivaletteratura, and international festivals in Estonia, Belgium and beyond. An active event organizer and leader, she runs workshops for adults and young people, fostering creative expression and performance skills since 2018.

As an author, she published the first academic essay on the Italian poetry slam scene titled The Aesthetic Response in Poetry Slam (La risposta estetica nel Poetry Slam) through Mille Gru, for which she also directs the Quaderni Slam series. She serves on the board of the Italian Poetry Slam League and acted for many years as a coordinator for the U20 student poetry championship. She also collaborates with cultural journals and magazines such as Snaporaz and Corriere della Sera.

Eleonora’s poetic work explores themes rooted in her Sicilian heritage, generational identity, feminism, and digital death.
